We are currently partnering with an educational body based in Leamington Spa, who are recruiting for a Payroll and Accounts Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
Our client operate two companies: a social care managerial recruitment company and a teacher training programme.
This is a full-time position with a salary band of £32,000 to £37,000 (subject to experience) and they are looking to get someone started as soon as possible.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
·Managing and processing weekly and monthly payroll for the two companies they operate
·Chasing outstanding debt; liaising directly with customers and supporting the monitoring of aged debtor reports
·Reviewing bank statements daily, allocating receipts, and completing bank and account reconciliations
·Supporting month end and year end processes
·Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve disputes and queries
·Reconciling the sales ledger with customer accounts
·Processing supplier invoices and making payments
Experience required:
·Minimum three year’s experience in a finance or accounting role
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
·Strong understanding of purchase ledger, cash allocation and reconciliations
·Intermediate Excel capabilities (VLOOKUPs & Pivot Tables)
·Strong understanding of payroll, VAT and UK accounting regulations
