About the Role
Ferrovial Construction is seeking an experienced Planner to support major infrastructure projects in the UK, specifically at Heathrow Airport.

Reporting
Reports to the Planning Lead.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for preparing a portfolio/programme of Projects for updating the monthly Reporting Baseline (RB) with the instructions PMIs / implemented CEs.
* Responsible for preparing a portfolio/programme of Projects for the monthly Progress Programme including narrative, project performance analysis, critical path, programme integration activities according to the Contract requirements across scope, time, risk, schedule updates, opportunities for improvement.
* Coordinate all external parties involved in the progress process (commercials, planners, section leads and site agents) to ensure a realistic programme logic is in place.
* Act as an expert planner and scheduler.
* Use Primavera P6 professionally and be familiar with cost loading programme.
* Manage and ensure earned value management.
* Promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, sub-contractors and other external contacts.
Skills and Competence
* Previous experience as a senior planner for large scale projects.
* Experience of working on planning management systems within civil and electrical-mechanical engineering projects.
* Experience in using Primavera P6 and CEMAR (Contract / Change management).
* Understanding of NEC4 contracts.
* Excellent Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
* Ability to perform assignments independently with supervision and guidance as required.
* Ability to deliver timely high-quality reports.
* Good level of proactivity and a problem-solving attitude.
* Good relationship skills with the other departments / functions.
* Good knowledge on measuring civil engineering works.

Ferrovial Construction has worked at Heathrow Airport for over 18 years, delivering complex infrastructure projects to high quality, safety and environmental standards. The company has focused on design and build projects with varied contractual arrangements, enabling refined management procedures in response to Heathrow’s Employers Requirements and Ferrovial Construction’s internal systems. Projects include new taxiways, rehabilitation of existing taxiways and the southern runway, redevelopment of sterile and grass areas, and replacement of critical assets such as fire main, fuel main and HV ducts. Current work involves rehabilitating assets with expired design life and planning a future runway resurfacing project, working alongside Heathrow to deliver value for money.
