As Part Of This Role, You’ll
* Learn essential skills across building services, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), electrical systems, plumbing, and general maintenance
* Assist with planned preventive maintenance and reactive repair tasks across campus buildings
* Work alongside experienced engineers to diagnose faults and carry out repairs
* Gain hands‑on experience using industry-leading tools and technology to monitor and improve building performance
* Support Mitie’s sustainability commitments, including energy efficiency and decarbonisation initiatives across the estate
* Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) standards
As part of your Apprenticeship you will be enrolled onto a Level 3 Building Services Engineering Qualification that normally runs for 3 years. You will be fully supported by our partner and training provider, GLP Training, with 1‑2‑1 advice, e‑learning materials, and access to expert support.
Qualifications
* A keen interest in building services engineering
* Ability to think critically and find solutions
* A dedication to completing the apprenticeship and growing with Mitie
* GCSEs in Maths and English (Grades 4‑9 or equivalent) or Scottish National 5 certificates (Grade A‑C) – certificates must be provided at the interview stage
