We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Cambridgeshire.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We keep the team around the child, and you will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is perfect for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who are eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to raise their engagement and drastically improve their educational journey.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role:
* Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Supporting young people as referred by local authorities and schools, providing educational and social-emotional support through flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:
* Planning each session of teaching/tutoring/mentoring
* Providing holistic and engaging sessions tailored to the needs of each young person
* Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available to obtain)
* Two professional references
* Must be based in the UK with the right to work, including for remote assignments
It is essential that you promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people, following safeguarding policies at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor employment status:
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term placements
* Paid via PAYE, through a contract for service
* No set work amount or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers your work for us
* Position is not self-employed
