The Role
Lecturer teaching at undergraduate level as part of the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends is required.
Responsibilities
* All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
* Developing, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate.
* Using a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
* Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
* Keeping up to date with the latest developments in the field and student support practices.
* Working towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
About You
* Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
* Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
* Be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
* Have accurate reporting experience and the ability to maintain thorough and organised student records.
* Be able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
* Have excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
* Be able to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or a commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
* Have experience designing or developing academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.
