We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Whitley Bay who are looking for a Level 3 qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Nursery team every Monday to Wednesday. This is a lovely role for someone who genuinely enjoys the early years world, from messy play and phonics beginnings, to supporting children with their first friendships. Location: Whitley Bay Days: Monday to Wednesday (3 days per week) Role Type: Part-time, ongoing Start Date: ASAP (or flexible for the right person) The Role As a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant, you’ll be supporting children in Nursery by helping them feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team to create a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Your day-to-day will include: Supporting learning through play-based activities Helping with phonics, early number work, and communication development Supporting routines including snack time, toileting, and transitions Encouraging positive behaviour and social skills Working 1:1 or in small groups when needed Building warm, consistent relationships with children and staff What We’re Looking For We’d love to hear from you if you have: A Level 3 EYFS / Childcare qualification (essential) Experience working in a Nursery or Early Years setting A calm, caring approach and lots of patience Strong communication skills and confidence working as part of a team A real understanding of safeguarding and child development Why This School?
