Overview

Location: Office based in Lymington, with a home-working option

Hours: Part-time - 24 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience), pro rata (£18,000 - £21,000 per year for 24 hours per week)

Reporting to: CEO


About Hammersley Homes

Hammersley Homeswas established in 2018 to provide lifelong support for vulnerable adults who live with enduring mental illness. Through our Outreach Programme, and eventually through the creation of supported homes for life and day centres, we support people who struggle to live independently - offering friendship, practical help with daily tasks, and opportunities for social interaction, enabling them to live their best life and reach their personal goals.


The Role

The Fundraising Manager will play a key role in developing and delivering a sustainable income generation strategy. You will be responsible for securing funding through trusts, businesses and individuals, building strong relationships with donors and supporters, and raising awareness of our work through campaigns, events, and community engagement.

This role requires a motivated self-starter who can balance strategic planning with hands-on delivery, and who is comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with staff and volunteers.


Key Responsibilities

* Work with the CEO to develop and deliver a fundraising strategy aligned to the charity’s goals.
* Identify and apply to relevant trusts and foundations, meeting deadlines for submissions.
* Secure income from a mix of sources including trusts, corporate partners, local businesses, individual donors and community fundraising.
* Create and deliver communication campaigns to encourage donations and raise awareness.
* Organise fundraising events and activities, maximising income and engagement.
* Use of web-based fundraising tools such as online auctions as required.
* Recruit, support and motivate volunteers to contribute to fundraising efforts.
* Nurture existing supporters to maintain and grow regular donations, while inspiring new supporters through relationship development.
* Produce clear and accurate reports to track fundraising performance against targets.
* Prepare and submit timely impact reports to funders.
* Maintain and update the donor database.
* Work closely with the CEO and wider team to achieve income targets.
* Any other duties commensurate with the role.
* Occasional travel within Hampshire and to London for events, donor engagement and meetings with funders.


About You

* Demonstrable success in fundraising and meeting income targets.
* Experience building and managing relationships with donors, businesses or community partners.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire support.
* Good knowledge of fundraising as a professional discipline.
* Strong organisational and planning skills, able to manage multiple priorities.
* IT literacy with experience of using databases and online fundraising platforms.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Willingness to travel around Hampshire for meetings and events (access to a car and valid driving license required).
* A passion for the charity sector and commitment to Hammersley Homes’ mission.
