We have an exciting opportunity for an established or newly qualified teacher to join our team as a: Mathematics Teacher
We are looking someone who is able to:
* teach functional skills maths concepts that enable students to access Maths in real-life situations
* support the wellbeing and educational needs of young people with SEN
* have a relationships first ethos
* show sensitivity in listening to young people’s situations and the ability to communicate positively and effectively to reach solutions
* work successfully both individually and within a team and be able to make informed decisions
* be caring and understanding and have a calm assertive approach to support resilience in learning
* actively and proactively look ahead, predicting and preventing barriers to success

About the role:
A Maths teacher plays a crucial role in helping students with diverse learning needs to understand mathematical concepts. They must be able to adapt their teaching methods to cater to the individual needs of each student, and may need to use a range of resources to support learning. Additionally, they may work closely with other professionals such as Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists to ensure that students are receiving appropriate support. They must be patient and empathetic, and have a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with special needs. Ultimately, their goal is to help each student develop the skills they need to succeed in life.
