The Role
As a Manufacturing and Production Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for all production issues, responsible for making sure all documentation is up to date and the processes followed are efficient and cost effective. You will support all releases of new and changed products into the production line ensuring all documentation, test jigs, BOM and processes are defined and followed. You will give crucial input in product development activities, collaborating closely with suppliers and influencing the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and maintain build procedures for all aspects of production
* Process iCIR and CIR reports with other departments such as QA, stores and production
* Assist shop floor during release of new and changed product
* Provide constructive feedback to Engineering on issues found on the shop floor with possible solutions
* Develop counter measures and solutions for issues and see them through into production
Requirements
Essential:
* Degree or HND in Electrical or mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or other relevant discipline
* Considerable demonstrable experience in electro/mechanical systems
* Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel etc)
* Understanding of Product life cycle, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Stage-gate process
Desirable:
* Practical understanding of BOM structures and ERP software
* ISO 9001 and 14001 understanding
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Experience in 3D CAD software (ideally SolidWorks)
