You’ll have hands-on line management responsibility, including managing performance, absence, conduct, recruitment/selection and carrying out regular 1-2-1’s and performance reviews. You’ll continually monitor the standard of workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction and that SLA’s are met. You’ll make sure the team remain fully skilled and monitor their performance, identifying any training needs and supporting them in their professional development. You’ll undertake work in progress and post work inspections to make sure work is completed safely, that the correct materials have been used and that the standard is of the required level. As part of this, you’ll monitor expenditure within the team to make sure that all actions and materials are in line with the principles of ‘Best Value’, ensuring spend is kept within budget and continually monitoring cost effectiveness of your decisions. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with extensive grounds maintenance experience who has the passion to be successful and influential leader. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use is a requirement. Interviews will take place WC 10 January
