We are seeking an ambitious, inspiring, and highly effective teacher to lead Economics within our thriving secondary school in the Caterham and Whyteleafe area.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Economics teacher or current middle leader looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will have the vision, subject expertise, and leadership skills to drive outstanding outcomes and foster a passion for Economics across Key Stages 4 and 5.
The Role
As Head of Economics, you will:
* Lead and develop the Economics curriculum across the school
* Deliver engaging and academically rigorous lessons at GCSE and A Level
* Inspire students of all abilities to achieve exceptional outcomes
* Support and mentor colleagues within the department
* Monitor progress, assessment, and curriculum quality
* Contribute to the wider life of the school community

* Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for Economics
* Has a proven track record of excellent classroom teaching
* Can motivate and inspire students and colleagues alike
* Demonstrates strong leadership and organisational skills
* Is committed to high standards, inclusion, and student success
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (dependent on experience)
