Main duties of the job
In this role, you will work closely with specialty administration teams, anaesthetists, and pre-operative nurses to streamline and accelerate patients’ pre-operative pathways. You will coordinate care pathways, liaise with surgical and perioperative teams, and ensure patients receive tailored support—including referrals to specialist services—to optimise their fitness for surgery. Your role will be key in managing higher-risk patients in line with best practice guidelines and improving overall surgical outcomes through effective, patient-centered coordination. Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To Manage the pre-assessment pathway for elective admissions, Coordinate the high-risk pathway and provide administrative support at a senior level to the perioperative assessment anaesthetic clinicians.

Essential criteria
1. At least 3 GCSEs at Grade ‘C’ and above or equivalent
Desirable criteria
2. Customer Care course (or equivalent experience)

3. Good NHS administrative NHS Experience
4. Relevant experience with coordination assessment clinics, appointments, and the elective patient pathway
Desirable criteria
5. iClip / Cerner EPR experience
Knowledge & Skills

6. Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook)
7. Good typing skills
8. Theatre admissions process and waiting list management as well as 18 Weeks RTT pathway
9. Knowledge & awareness of diversity and human rights as appropriate to your role
10. Ability to communicate effectively to ensure high standards of care, treatment, service or support
11. Ability to understand an individual’s communication, physical & emotional needs; recognise their needs and preferences
12. Ability to provide a customer focussed service

·To act independently, ensuring that daily tasks and ongoing workloads are prioritised and completed in agreed timeframes.
