Fantastic opportunity have arisen to join BEAR Scotland’s North West Electrical team as an Electrician based in Perth, Inverness or Kingussie (full time).
The North West Trunk Road Unit spans some 1,422km of trunk road through some of the most scenic parts of the country. It also includes 1,501 bridges and structures, including the Kessock Bridge which carries the A9 north of Inverness and the A87 Skye Crossing.
The North West Unit covers a huge area of Scotland, from Thurso and Wick in the very north of the Highlands down to Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute, from Uig on Skye to Perth and Stirling in the central belt.
Role includes:
• Conducting regular inspections and electrical maintenance on North West Trunk Road facilities.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults efficiently to minimise disruptions to road users.
• Contributing to the implementation of electrical system upgrades and enhancements for these projects.
• Collaborating with a team of skilled professionals to ensure the safe operation of these critical infrastructure elements.
• Strictly adhering to safety standards and regulations to uphold the safety of the public and your team.
• Providing technical expertise and recommendations for continuous improvements.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Full approval as an Electrician, backed by relevant certifications and licenses.
• SJIB rates paid
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to perform efficiently under demanding conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical safety regulations and practices.
• Willingness to work in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
• A fully approved UK driving licence.
