Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner - Children and Young People
As part of a dedicated AHP Therapy team, the post holder will be allocated a delegated patient caseload by the qualified AHP and is expected to work independently, assessing patients' care needs, modifying existing treatment plans, and delivering care within their scope of practice. This includes progressing patients, reassessing, and discharging.
The post holder will support qualified AHP staff by actively participating in clinical activities within the specialist area, guided by evidence-based protocols produced by registered practitioners.
The practitioner will delegate tasks to team members, maximize the use of technology (e.g., telehealth), and adopt new ways of working to ensure efficient service delivery.
This position requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If not currently a PVG member for the relevant group (child and/or adult), an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and approved before starting.
Note: As this is a part-time role, the salary will be pro-rata.
