Role Overview:
We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Assembly & Production Technician to join our small, ambitious team. This is a varied role that values adaptability and a proactive approach. If you're ready to put your skills and experience to work to help the team succeed, we'd love to hear from you
The successful candidate will take ownership of the assembly process, assist with stock management, and provide customer support through close collaboration with the Engineering and Operations teams. While the primary focus is order fulfilment and technical support, there will also be opportunities to contribute to our exciting R&D projects.
Key Duties:
-Component inspection and reporting:
* Conduct goods-in inspections of components to ensure quality and accuracy.
* Liaise with suppliers to correct any non-conforming or defective items.
-Assembly of production hardware, including:
* Kitting works orders
* Optical systems (cameras, lenses)
* Mechanical assemblies (machined aluminium housings, sheet metal, extrusions, installation of wiring harnesses)
* PC systems (installing SSDs, fans, etc.)
* Software setup and installation
-Supporting R&D developments:
* Produce custom cable harnesses and wiring looms.
* Assembling prototypes and test rigs.
-Ensuring faultless performance of built products

erform system testing according to defined procedures.
-Maintaining accurate records
* Including test results, to be recorded in line with company procedures.

Assist with hardware and technical support for any customer issues

* This may involve domestic and international travel.
Skills & Experience:
* A proficiency with basic hand tools.
* Experience in soldering, wiring and cable assembly is highly desirable.
* Ability to follow build instructions and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
* Hands-on experience assembling PCs, or similar hardware systems is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with 3D CAD software and 3D printing technologies would be an advantage.
* Experience using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is desirable.
* Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with peers, colleagues, and customers.
* Exceptional attention to detail, with practical problem-solving abilities and a proactive, can-do mindset.
* Capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as contribute effectively within a team.
