Description The HR Advisor will support the programme in all aspects of human resources and recruitment activity, providing advice and guidance to managers. This is an excellent opportunity for you to expand your overall HR knowledge and be a part of shaping the future of the immediate team and the wider people function. This role is for an initial fixed term of 1 year. Working within a small team you will be the first point of contact for all HR matters, providing first line advice to managers. You will also have a passion for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion working alongside the Parliamentary Workplace Equality Networks to pool resource and support the Programme’s EDI objectives, creating an action plan and seeing this through to delivery and ongoing activity. You will demonstrate a commitment to diversity that supports the programmes values and aligns with everything that we do and ensure that our EDI value is prevalent in everything we do. The role encompasses all aspects of HR with the opportunity to be involved with, apprentice and intern recruitment, generalist HR activity, ensuring electronic records are updated accurately and in a timely manner, liaising with external providers, for example, advertising and recruitment agencies and supporting payroll. Work within the Parliamentary estate requires that all colleagues are adequately screened and vetted and you will ensure that all joiners and colleagues achieve and maintain the levels of clearance required, providing advice and guidance and acting as the conduit between them and the Parliamentary Security Team. You will have experience working within an HR related function and have proven skills building effective, collaborative relationships across an organisation.
