* Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, and other relevant technologies.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements.
* Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to coding standards.
* Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure the functionality and performance of applications.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Linux administration and containers.
* Ensure application security and implement best practices to protect sensitive data.
* Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies and continuously improve your skills.
About You (requirements)
* Proven work experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong focus on PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js or other object-oriented programming languages
* Understanding of and implementation of SOLID principals
* Solid understanding of Linux administration, including server setup and maintenance.
* Knowledge of docker and orchestration tools.
* Strong knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries.
* Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like VueJS.
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* Experience with other PHP frameworks and libraries.
* Knowledge of front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Full time hours will be 35 hours per week working Monday to Friday. However, you may be required to undertake work outwith this norm to meet the responsibilities of the post.
Whilst you will be based at 131 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, SPT operate a temporary hybrid working pattern which allows 40% home working, i.e. 2 days per week Monday to Friday.
Please note, this position falls into the ‘low’ risk category under the Alcohol and Drugs policy and therefore is subject to for-cause testing procedures.
