HSEQ Manager
The successful candidate must possess demonstrable experience in a similar role coupled with some exposure to the HV power, utilities or electrical transmission and distribution (T&D) sectors.
Overview
Our client now wishes to appoint an HSEQ Manager to join their team delivering electrical power projects at transmission and distribution voltage levels. You will focus on ensuring projects remain in compliance with all industry related HSEQ regulations and standards, including CDM 2015, on small to large-scale contracts, typically between 11kV and 132kV.
The Role
* Portfolio accountability to ensure each project is delivered to compliance with CDM regulations and HSEQ Legislation, including collaborating with site team to ensure adherence
* Act as point of escalation for the customer and the company for Health & Safety and CDM, both during tendering and implementing current and future projects.
* Ensuring individuals in roles of responsibility are suitably competent and well-equipped for project delivery.
* Operate across the whole of the delivery team as a Health & Safety lead, also responsible for ensuring delivery compliance of sub-contractors.
* Maintaining policy, data, documents and processes in compliance with quality standards.
* Provide excellent customer service through clear communication and meeting their expectations such as working in the safest manner, only accepting high quality work, achieving set milestones and working within contract budgets.
* Promote the company’s reputation through a positive attitude and behaviours, good time keeping and a professional appearance.
The Person
* NEBOSH Diploma or NEBOSH Construction Certificate Level 4; (essential).
* At least 5 years of relevant sector experience, including employee, client and sub-contractor H&S management
* Detailed knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM 2015 Regulations.
* Working knowledge of ISO certified business management systems (9001, 14001 & 45001).
* Experience in developing Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans.
* Experience in compiling H&S Files and delivering construction related assurance programs.
* Hold IOSH professional accreditation; (essential).
* Be an excellent written and verbal communicator, with experience in the developing and delivering management reports, business presentations and safety briefings; (essential).
* Self-motivated and able to drive behaviour to motivate others.
* Hold a valid, full UK driving licence; (essential)
