Senior CNC turners opportunity with this large established precision engineering company. The role is that of a programmer/setter/operator working on fanuc controlled twin spindle CNC Lathes with live tooling.
4 day week ! - the role is working full time hours over a 4 days week so every Friday off !
Key Responsibilities:
* Program, Set and operate CNC lathes with twin / sub-spindle capabilities, ensuring high precision and efficiency.
* Utilise live tooling to optimise the machining process and achieve superior quality outputs.
* Engage in offline CAD/CAM programming using HyperMill or similar software to streamline production.
* Work proficiently with Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes to meet production targets while maintaining high standards.
* Collaborate with our engineering team to refine design specifications and production methods.
* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
* Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience in operating twin or sub-spindle CNC lathes.
* Proficiency in live tooling techniques.
* Strong background in offline CAD/CAM programming, especially with HyperMill or similar systems.
* Familiarity with Fanuc control systems and operations.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication skills.

Ideal Candidate: You will possess an apprenticeship or similar level of experience in machining. Proficiency in HyperMill Programming or a similar CAD/CAM system is essential.. Your strong turning capabilities and keen eye for detail will enable you to work to tight tolerances, ensuring the quality of your own work.While you will work within a collaborative team, the ability to take initiative and work independently is crucial.
