Job Overview: Are you a Registered Nurse passionate about making a difference in patient care? You can make a huge impact through research delivery knowing that your contributions towards patient care are valued. We seek a highly motivated and energetic person with a can‑do attitude to join our dynamic team and deliver high‑powered research within primary care and the community.

This vacancy is open to nurses with desirable experience in clinical research and/or primary care. However, anyone who can demonstrate that they can apply their clinical experience to promoting and delivering research within the community will be considered.


Responsibilities

* You will be using your skills/clinical experience differently.
* You will make your clinical skills count towards creating new treatments.
* You will work with researchers, patients, community services teams, GPs, other primary care teams, non‑NHS settings (care homes, prisons, dental practices, community settings, hospices, etc.), and NIHR stakeholders.
* You will work on various studies; each day will be interesting and different.
* You will acquire new skills that count towards professional development and enhance your revalidation portfolio.
* You will have the opportunity to experience the role of a Clinical Research Nurse and see if you are drawn into this direction.
* You will have an opportunity for a change in career direction.

Noclor NHS Research Support Office is part of CNWL's Research and Development department, with a national reputation for research support. We are affiliated with the NIHR North London Regional Research Delivery Network and are the R&D office for Primary Care/non‑NHS across North Central and North East London. Our office is based in Kentish Town. Training, support and mentoring will be provided.

Qualifications

Essential criteria:

* Educated to degree level or relevant specialist course
* NMC Registration

Desirable criteria:

* Postgraduate qualification in a science/health‑related subject or equivalent appropriate experience
* Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate


Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria:

* Extensive experience of working within a ward as a qualified nurse

Desirable criteria:

* Experience of working in Primary Care environment and other wider care settings
* Experience of working in commercial or academic research
1. Experience of teaching and leadership
2. Familiarity with the set‑up and structure of local community services


Skills & Abilities

Essential criteria:

* Ability to communicate highly complex, sensitive or contentious information both orally and in writing, both internally to colleagues and externally to a range of audiences, including large groups.
* Proven interpersonal skills to work with clinical and management colleagues at all levels across a range of organisations.
* Ability to analyse and interpret complex information and ability to make judgments regarding a range of highly complex research management issues.
* Good IT skills, particularly in the use of Web applications and MS Office applications.
* Ability to plan, manage, adjust and deliver complex projects, involving multiple agencies and individuals and a broad range of activities, to tight deadlines.
* Ability to work with minimal day‑to‑day supervision.

Desirable criteria:

* Venepuncture/cannulation skills/Clinical assessments
