The role
The Trade Sales Assistant supports the Branch Manager with various tasks, including:
* Delivering excellent customer service that exceeds expectations
* Approaching customers courteously and efficiently
* Handling customer orders and queries confidently and professionally
* Maintaining comprehensive product knowledge
* Identifying process improvements to enhance service, reduce costs, and improve margins
* Matching customer needs with the best products, considering upselling and stock levels
* Checking deliveries accurately and passing on relevant paperwork promptly
* Resolving customer issues satisfactorily
* Creating effective, up-to-date displays in the showroom, ensuring products are well-presented and correctly priced
* Processing specific customer requirements efficiently and meeting delivery promises
* Ensuring all promises to customers are realistic and fulfilled
* Being prepared to deputise effectively in the absence of the Branch Manager or Assistant Manager
