Are you an experienced outreach or pastoral support professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Outreach Support Worker to join our secondary school team and help ensure every student has the support they need to thrive.
This is a rewarding and varied role where your ability to build strong relationships, work collaboratively with families and external agencies, and maintain a nurturing yet structured approach will be key.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted 1:1 support to students
Work closely with families to build trust, provide practical support, and strengthen home-school relationships
Liaise with external agencies (e.g., Early Help, CAMHS, social services) to ensure coordinated and effective support
Monitor progress, keep accurate records, and contribute to support plans, EHCPs, and safeguarding reports
Support a calm, inclusive school culture where every young person feels valued and understood
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Has proven experience in a similar role within a school, youth, or community setting (essential)
Understands the challenges facing secondary-aged students and their families
Is organised, emotionally resilient, and able to manage a busy and responsive caseload
Communicates confidently with young people, staff, families, and multi-agency partners
Brings a nurturing, non-judgemental approach with a strong commitment to safeguarding
