BMW Group Plant Hams Hall is a modern, state-of-the-art engine manufacturing facility, located just outside Birmingham, UK. Producing the latest generation of three-, four-, eight- and twelve- cylinder petrol engines, and precision machining key engine components, the plant is celebrating 25 years of successful production in February 2026.
The planning function in Hams Hall are responsible for the specification, delivery and commissioning of new production facilities and products in the engine factory. The team consists of experienced process and technology planners alongside graduates and interns who support the work of the department.
BMW Hams Hall, Birmingham – Intern Process Planning - Digitalisation– 13-Month Placement (July 2026)
We are looking for an IT focused candidate to work in a cross-functional position between the planning department and the Innovation & Digitalisation (I&D). They will primarily be supporting our process digitalisation journey for our applications used internally and in the BMW Group Production Network.

What should you bring along?
* Our internship candidates are typically studying towards a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Software Development.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Coding proficiency in at least 2 programming languages.
* Presentation skills.
* A flexible approach to work.
* A hardworking and self-motivated attitude.
