Your new roleThis full-time, temporary caretaker position will involve a wide range of site and maintenance duties, including:
* Carrying out cleaning tasks across the school site
* Maintaining locks, security systems, and fire doors
* Completing general maintenance and repair work
* Supporting with basic grounds maintenance
* Moving and setting up equipment and furniture as required
* Keyholder duties, including building security
* Ensuring the school environment is safe and well-maintained for all staff, students, and visitors
* Applicants with recognised qualifications or substantial experience in a suitable trade are strongly encouraged to apply.
What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will:
* Be able to work effectively on their own initiative
* Demonstrate strong communication skills
* Have practical maintenance abilities
* Bring previous maintenance or general handyperson experience (ideal)
* Hold Legionella training (desirable)
* Have a joinery or wider maintenance background (desirable)
* Be proactive and reliable in their approach to work
This is a temporary role. We will require references covering at least the last two years, and you must be willing to undergo a DBS check if you do not already hold one registered on the Update Service.
