Project Manager

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
Taking responsibility for the on boarding of new projects and the efficient running of the day-to-day project operation
Creation and communication of project plans to customers and the engineering team, to enable projects to run to expected budget.
On board and work with the new planning function to enable day to day duties to be delegated
Take responsibility for the recruitment of a replacement a field-based engineer.
Take accountability for the engineering team and continue to ensure, our Quality standards and safe working practices are upheld and continually improved
Manage key supplier relationships and supply chain requirement
Hold reviews with each of the engineers to allow continued growth of skill sets, up skilling and identification of issues.
Work with the various teams in the business to understand new business initiatives and ensure the team are ready to accept and participate
Where required take the lead on projects directly at site level to enable skills and knowledge transfer to the engineering team.
Be the second line escalation for customer challenges on projects
Ensure budgets are monitored so variance discussions can be had and won
Qualifications/ Experience:
Proven Experience managing service/project teams
Experience working as a hands-on project manager.
Strong leadership and team management skills
Have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in a relevant electrical discipline
Be able to demonstrate mechanical skills that have been acquired
Strong appetite to learn and use our own software and 3rd party software systems.
End user and project team training skills
Full UK passport and UK driving license
