Commercial Real Estate Solicitor
Location: Rochdale (hybrid – up to 1–2 days from home after onboarding)
Salary: £35,000 – £55,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Coppersmith Recruitment is working with a long-established and well-respected law firm in Rochdale, seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Solicitor to join their friendly and growing Commercial Department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with a strong background in commercial property who’s looking for a long-term move within a supportive, down-to-earth firm. The team is busy, collaborative, and values practical experience, autonomy, and professional growth over corporate formality.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of commercial property matters, including:
* Leases, landlord and tenant work
* Sales and purchases of commercial premises
* Refinancing and property finance transactions
* Supporting corporate transactions (such as business sales, acquisitions, and restructures) where relevant
You’ll be joining a well-structured team comprising a Head of Department, consultant, junior solicitors and apprentices, and administrative support. While secretarial assistance is limited, strong case management systems are in place, and there’s plenty of work available for a capable fee-earner.
For those with interest or experience in leadership, mentoring junior colleagues or developing business through networking will be welcomed and supported.
About You
* Qualified Solicitor (8–10 years PQE preferred, flexible for the right fit)
* Strong and consistent recent experience in commercial property
* Ideally with exposure to corporate transactions, though not essential
* Comfortable managing your own files and workload with minimal supervision
* Proactive, personable, and aligned with the firm’s collaborative ethos
* Within realistic commuting distance of Rochdale (hybrid available after settling in)
* Business development mindset and willingness to help the department grow
