We are seeking a skilled and reliable Groundworkers to join our construction team. The Groundworker will be responsible for preparing and maintaining construction sites, including excavation, laying foundations, and installing drainage systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, strong practical skills, and a commitment to safety.

Contract : Shift Pattern, Permanent, Full Time
Salary :
Up to £20.05 per hour based on experience +
shift uplift earning up to £401 per day
What will you be responsible for?
As a Groundworker, you'll be working within the Hinkley Point C team.
You will be responsible for participating within a gang, taking personal responsibility for Health & Safety performance.
You need to make sure the overall quality of your work meets any productivity targets that have been set.
Your day to day will include:
Set up site boundaries with temporary fencing and safety barriers as per approved traffic management plan.
Perform excavation and grading using hand tools to approved levels.
Prepare the ground for construction by levelling and compacting soil.
Safely remove and dispose of excavated materials.
Install drainage systems, including pipes and stormwater management. Up to and including 1200 Dia pipes.
Lay ducts for utilities such as electricity, gas, and water.
What are we looking for?
This role of Operative is great for you if:
Proven experience with excavations, concrete work, and drainage installation.
Experience as a Groundworker or in a similar role.
Certifications:
· NVQ Level 2 General Operative
· Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card for role.
· Certification for operating plant (e.g., CPCS,) is preferred.
· HS&E test for Operatives OR CCNSG Safety Passport
