Overview
Come join TNS’s Customer Installation team. We are a team of highly skilled and committed Network Technicians tasked with delivering the highest quality solutions for our customers across our global network. At TNS, we provide mission-critical, managed network solutions to clients in the Payments and Financial Service Markets, enabling secure, reliable, and high-speed transactions worldwide. Responsibilities
Customer Installation Technicians are engaged in delivering (configuration, installation, testing, and acceptance) circuits and TNS network devices. They support internal TNS teams and customers during service activation on the TNS network. The role requires independent working, sometimes outside business hours, and a proactive approach to improving quality and efficiency, including automation and process improvements. Responsibilities include:
* Supporting customer router installations, including patch cabling and troubleshooting, in collaboration with Field Technicians.
* Remaining logged into the Installations phone queue during business hours to assist customer engineers.
* Managing the shared mailbox, ensuring timely responses and proper archiving.
* Working with telecommunication providers to activate circuits such as leased lines, Ethernet, VPN, MPLS, etc.
* Maintaining accuracy in the Remedy database and updating data as needed.
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.
* Updating technical documentation for the Customer Implementation Group.
* Building professional relationships with technical peers and internal teams globally.
* Staying informed about TNS infrastructure and product updates and integrating these into current processes.
* Understanding new TNS products and services, including software updates.
* Using project management tools for tracking and reporting tasks.
Qualifications
Required:
* Ability to work independently and exercise judgment.
* Experience managing multiple complex assignments concurrently.
* Networking experience, especially in delivering mission-critical services over Broadband and Mobile.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages like Spanish, French, or Italian are a plus.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities.
* Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Desirable:
* Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Digi, Fortinet routers.
* Background in POS, ATM, banking, or finance industries.
* Degree or higher diploma; certifications like CCNA, JNCIA, Linux Admin, ITIL.
* Proficiency with MS Office, Remedy, Salesforce.
* Experience with mobile carrier data solutions and PSTN technologies.
