All About the Role
Barrett Engineering Steels have an exciting opportunity for a Works Office Administrator. The purpose of this role is to provide full administrative support to the operations on site. You’ll ensure an accurate receipt of Goods into the depot, confirming that Test Certification and material paperwork is correct, and material standard requirements are maintained. You’ll carry out regular stock checks and adjust any stock discrepancies accordingly enabling the site to be compliant. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5pm.
Specific tasks include:
1. Accurate and timely processing of all goods receipt documentation.
2. To ensure that all Test Certificates / Goods Receipt Notes (GRN)/ PODs/ Warehouse Notes are scanned and recorded in a timely manner.
3. Printing labels & PUI inspections sheets
4. Ensure that cut confirmation records are correct and appropriately communicated.
5. Ensure all pick notes are separated and distributed to relevant warehouse teams and sites when needed
6. Customer collection invoicing
7. Liaising with operations staff on daily work plan.
8. Scanning & Filing.
9. General warehouse admin tasks
10. Be an ambassador for high customer service standards.
11. The below points are to cover when needed
12. To ensure accurate and efficient receipt of incoming materials in accordance with the Goods Inwards schedule and procedure.
13. Monitoring of incoming stock rotations ensuring that stocks are presented with the correct colour coding and cast numbers.
14. Updating stock check analysis spreadsheet
15. Responsibility for flagging issues relating to Environmental, H&S and Business Improvement issues within the business/ site and maintaining and updating HSMS

Essential Skills for the role:
16. Previous experience in a warehouse admin or transport admin role
17. Proactive attitude and approach with a willingness to learn.
18. Excellent communication, computer & numerical skills
19. Be self-motivated and capable of using own initiative with minimal supervision.
20. Be computer literate and have a good hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as business IT systems.
21. Work in a structured and methodical, well-organised manner at all times.
22. Ideally have a good working knowledge of the relevant aspects of H&S relating to the scope of work.
