Senior Fire Engineer – Remote/Hybrid, UK Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 Location: Remote-first, head office based in Leeds About the Role: An established and growing fire safety consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Fire Engineer to support a diverse range of residential and commercial projects across the UK. The company provides a full suite of fire safety services, including fire strategies, fire engineering consultancy, FRAEW and EWS1 assessments, and fire risk assessments. Having started with a focus on external wall work, they have since expanded to deliver a complete fire engineering offering. They operate as a small, agile consultancy, sitting between large corporate firms and smaller niche practices. This allows them to deliver technically robust work quickly, while maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients. This position will suit a qualified fire engineer with several years of experience in a commercial consultancy environment who is comfortable leading on projects and supporting junior members of the team. Responsibilities: The Senior Fire Engineer will: Lead and deliver fire strategies, fire engineering designs, and FRAEW/EWS1 assessments Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining technical and regulatory standards Provide mentoring and support to junior and graduate engineers Liaise directly with clients, design teams, and approving authorities to deliver compliant solutions Work largely remotely, with occasional site and client meetings as required Take ownership of project delivery to help free up the Technical Director for strategic oversight On Offer: Salary: £60,000–£80,000 depending on experience Flexible working structure 28 days annual leave plus Christmas shutdown Option for additional unpaid leave if needed Remote-first working model with close collaboration via Teams Genuine autonomy and responsibility on projects Opportunity to shape processes and influence company direction as part of a small, growing team Candidate Requirements: Degree in Fire Engineering or a closely related discipline Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer status (preferred but not essential) Proven experience in a commercial fire engineering consultancy environment Strong understanding of fire strategy development, codes, and standards Ability to lead projects and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders UK-based (client is unable to offer sponsorship) Please contact: Alex Bartley RGB Network Office: (phone number removed) Email: abartley @ rgb .co .uk
