About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team working within the social housing sector. The role involves carrying out day-to-day responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and void works across occupied and unoccupied properties.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out all aspects of carpentry including doors, frames, kitchens, flooring, skirting, and general repairs
2. Undertake repairs and maintenance in social housing properties
3. Work in occupied homes, maintaining a professional and respectful approach at all times
4. Ensure all work is completed safely, to a high standard, and in line with regulations
5. Accurately complete job sheets and reports
6. Liaise with supervisors, tenants, and other trades when required
Essential Qualifications & Requirements:
7. NVQ Level 2 Carpentry
8. Proven experience working as a carpenter, ideally within social housing or domestic maintenance
9. Valid CSCS card (preferred)
10. Full UK driving licence
11. Good knowledge of health & safety regulations
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
13. Experience in social housing, local authority, or housing association environments
14. Basic multi-trade skills
15. Asbestos Awareness (training can be provided)
