About The Role
Working in our Technical Services mobile team on a Major Retail contract with opportunities to support other Commercial and Residential contracts in our continually expanding division.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract-defined time SLAs & KPIs.
* Contribute to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and participate in the delivery of service.
* Support with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services to ensure works are delivered safely on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
* On call cover on average 1 in 8 weeks.
* Plan, inspect and carry out repairs or preventative maintenance as required and respond to breakdowns in a timely fashion.
* Perform building fabric repairs, small plumbing, and joinery.
* Assist the maintenance team with other facilities work as required.
* Provide quotations for works recommended.
* Ensure a safe system of work is followed prior to commencement of any activity.
* Ensure that work activities are properly carried out.
* Maintain high site standards; provide general handyman services including L8.
* Liaise with subcontractors, cleaners and security to ensure facilities management of site is carried out effectively.
* Provide a callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota, on average 1 in 4 weeks.
Essential Hiring Criteria
* Time-served Fabric engineer with a maintenance background.
* Experience in Carpentry, Painting/Decorating, Door Hanging, Carpet/Lino repairs, Glazing repairs, Masonry repairs, Locksmithing, Tiling, and ceiling grids/tiles.
* L8 ACOP.
* Safety documentation knowledge to ensure site safety procedures are always followed.
* Legionella awareness.
* CSCS Skills card or equivalent qualification.
* First Aid.
* Current, valid driving licence.
* IT literate – basic understanding of Excel & Microsoft products.
* Able to train and gain the category 4 FGAS certification.
