Network Professional Consultant / Network SME (Contract) Company: Experis Location: Salisbury (On-Site) Duration: 5 Days ( Pre-Project Consultancy) Rate: Market Rate (Open) Overview Experis is supporting a network refresh project and is looking for an experienced network professional to help deliver it end-to-end. This opportunity is open to a range of profiles, experienced consultants or SMEs, who are comfortable taking ownership of delivery and working in a fast-paced environment. Youll play a key role in translating requirements (including BOM/SOW where applicable) into a practical deployment approach, followed by on-site implementation, migration, and support. There is also an opportunity to engage ahead of deployment on a T&M basis, providing input into design, planning, and readiness activities. What Youll Be Doing Supporting delivery of a network refresh / upgrade Interpreting requirements and contributing to implementation planning and approach Installing, configuring, and supporting network infrastructure (switching) Assisting with or leading migration and decommissioning activities Carrying out or overseeing structured cabling and patching Ensuring smooth deployment aligned to project scope and timelines Working closely with stakeholders and providing clear updates throughout What Were Looking For Were open to candidates with a mix of the following: Experience as a: Senior Network Engineer Network Consultant / SME Exposure to: Network deployments, upgrades, or migrations On-site installations within data centres or server rooms Enterprise switching (Juniper) Familiarity with: LAN environments (VLANs, switching, basic routing) Structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, patching, termination) Ability to: Work independently or take ownership of tasks Contribute to planning as well as hands-on delivery Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders Additional Value (Nice to Have) Experience reviewing or working from a Bill of Materials (BOM) Previously responsible for design, solution, or consultancy-style work Comfort working on short-term, fast turnaround projects Engagement Options Core engagement: 5-day on-site deployment Required: Pre-project T&M consultancy (planning, design input, validation)
