Supporting organisations scale and develop better teams, and futures through connecting market leading professionals in the Property and Construction… ADVERT CLOSING DATE - 25th July
All applications will be responded to after this date
CTO – HousingAI
Location: Remote (UK-based)
At HousingAI, we’re building something transformative: a sector-specific AI assistant designed to support the UK’s social housing sector with regulation-ready tools, intelligent automation, and best-practice workflows.
Following the successful launch of our MVP with Clarion Housing – the UK’s largest housing association – we’re now entering a critical growth phase. Backed by the Healthy Homes Hub, we’re onboarding providers for demonstrations and pilots, and moving toward full-scale AWS deployment by December 2025.
We're now seeking a CTO to closely with the CEO and lead this next chapter – a commercially astute, relationship-driven leader who can turn vision into value and has a keen passion and interest for AI.
The Role
As CTO, you’ll join at a pivotal growth stage. This is your opportunity to shape a platform that blends powerful AI with deep sector insight to deliver clarity, compliance, and confidence for housing providers. You’ll work across the business – driving technical innovation while staying close to users, clients, and cross-functional teams to ensure we’re solving the right problems in new ways.
You’ll have the gravitas to engage senior decision-makers across the social housing landscape, the commercial acumen to manage our growth strategy and P&L, and the leadership ability to inspire confidence – both internally and across the sector.
What You’ll Do
• Set and lead the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for HousingAI
• Project-manage adoption – guide housing providers from pilot to roll-out, ensuring seamless onboarding and measurable impact.
• Develop new use cases – keep a constant feedback loop with providers, turning real-world pain points into elegant AI-powered features.
• Translate user needs into evolving use cases and product features
• Foster a continuous feedback loop between end users, product, and engineering
• Champion rapid iteration, compliance, and performance in equal measure
• Grow and mentor an exceptional tech team as we scale
• Maintain a focus on innovation and improvement – no stale systems here
• Represent HousingAI in technical discussions with partners, housing providers, and sector stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
• Proven leadership experience, ideally in a high-growth SaaS or GovTech environment
• Commercially sharp with experience managing your own P&L
• Exceptional relationship builder – credible, personable, and trusted by stakeholders
• Ambitious, thoughtful, and execution-focused
• Passion for ethical, socially purposeful AI; familiarity with responsible-AI frameworks a plus.
• Ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term vision
• Comfortable working remotely as part of a lean, close-knit founding team
From the Founder
“We’re building a culture where talented people define what success looks like – and have the freedom to shape how we get there. If you’re excited by the challenge of building something meaningful from the ground up, this is your stage.”
