Technical Support Officer - The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Support Officer to join Rushcliffe Borough Council, supporting day to day operations at the Streetwise depot in Bingham. This is a varied role which will support work schedules, health and safety, risk assessments, work packs, as well as car park operations and income monitoring.
You will be based at our Bingham depot and will be working closely with your team.
Technical Support Officer - The Role:
- Deliver the Streetwise service to residents and partners by ensuring that resources, both
staff (including agency supply) and vehicles, are available and fully utilised
- To help contribute to the growth of Streetwise in identifying new business opportunities, as
well as building on existing partnerships
- Liaise closely with Team Leaders and Coordinators in developing and reviewing risk assessments across Streetwise functions
- To actively promote a positive health and safety culture across the Streetwise service
area, imbedding it in its daily working practices
- Be part of and contribute to the Streetwise Management Team working in conjunction
with the Streetwise Manager
- Conduct regular site visits to oversee and ensure quality of works, compliance and safe
systems of work
Technical Support Officer - You:
- Experience in health and safety e.g. risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Experience of customer service - daily service request, queries and complaints and actioning accordingly
- Willing to work towards any relevant qualifications e.g. Health & Safety
- You will need to have relevant knowledge of health and safety within the specific area of work and be a champion for best practice, particularly as we implement digital improvements across the service area
- Competent in hazard identification and risk control
- Understanding of data protection principles, including GDPR and the requirement for confidentiality
