Here at P&O Ferries we are seeking a Competitor Price & Activity Analyst to join our team here in Ashford on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to work as part of the Pricing & Revenue Management team helping to ensure that our pricing remains competitive, ticket availability is optimised, and data-driven recommendations are provided to support revenue growth. The successful candidate will have a proven record in analytical work, data quality assurance, competitor monitoring, and commercial decision-making. The role is based in our Ashford office, with flexible working arrangements available 1-2 days per week. We have a second office in Woking, Surrey, and so a driving licence or decent rail connection is a must. Key responsibilities and duties: Manage the setup and maintenance of competitor price scrapes to ensure accurate pricing data. Input and QA competitor pricing data into internal pricing tools, querying discrepancies with suppliers. Set up fares and price point limits per sailing, ensuring correct pricing flows to the website. Run price optimisation tools, review recommendations, and implement optimal ticket prices. Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, marketing activity, and provide actionable insights to revenue managers. The ideal candidate will: Have experience in a commercial or analytical environment, with strong attention to detail. Demonstratable data analysis experience Be proficient in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, or similar packages. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Be proactive, inquisitive, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Communicate effectively and collaborate well across teams. Desirable: Experience in the travel, ferry, or transport industry is advantageous but not essential.
