What you will do
We are seeking Graduates for our Building Structures teams, who have a flexible approach and an appetite to learn in a leading Engineering and Professional Advisory services consultancy. Graduates will work in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with architects and other consultants to develop coordinated designs for the built environment. Responsibilities include a broad range of technical tasks, such as carrying out calculations manually or using analysis software and producing BIM models and drawings. You will also be involved in creative duties, such as developing innovative designs or new processes. You will be embedded in teams and mentored by experienced engineers, gaining exposure to real-world challenges and innovative solutions.
Day-to-day activities could include reviewing architectural plans, performing load assessments and structural calculations, drafting and updating drawings and BIM models, attending design coordination meetings, visiting construction sites, appraising existing buildings, responding to queries from contractors and other design consultants, and researching innovative materials and construction methods.
Projects and locations
Locations include London, Cambridge, Southampton, Basingstoke and Newcastle. Projects you may help deliver include The Shard, 22 Bishopsgate, Newfoundland Tower, Elephant and Castle Town Centre, London Bridge Station, Birmingham Sports Hub, Old Oak Common, High Speed Rail Station, Durley Chine Sustainability Hub, and other defence and energy projects.
Graduate development programme
Our two-year Graduate Development programme supports personal and professional development through blended learning, core business and professional skills training, career development workshops, networking opportunities, mentoring for professional registration, and on-the-job experience. Graduates begin contributing to activities from day one with close support, progressing to greater independence through hands-on experience and structured training, and mentoring junior colleagues as they grow.
Graduates will be embedded in multidisciplinary teams and mentored by experienced engineers, gaining exposure to real-world challenges and innovative solutions. You will be empowered to pursue ICE or IStructE accreditation.
Qualifications and what we will be looking for
* Candidates must have graduated with at least a 2:2 in a master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Available to start in April or September 2026.
* Understanding of structural mechanics and building materials.
* Good attention to detail and strong communication skills, with the ability to explain structural concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Eagerness to learn, contribute to complex building projects, and interest in construction technology and how buildings are built.
* Enthusiasm for creativity and problem solving, and a drive to share new ideas.
* Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders and adapt to dynamic project environments.
