Role Overview
GTA (Global Transaction Analytics) provides data analytics services to clients to uncover actionable insights to support M&A, divestment and investment strategy. GTA is a global team that leverages leading technology, advanced analytics capabilities, and A&M’s operational, functional and industry expertise to drive relevant business insights. The global team provides analytics as a service to private equity and corporate clients across the transaction lifecycle.
Responsibilities
* Assist with core transaction analytics, helping to identify key financial performance and operating trends and insights through applied data analytics.
* Assess the quality of the target company’s financial and operational data assets.
* Analyze underlying financial statement performance drivers via key transactional and operational data. Clean, transform, and model data into meaningful information used to drive discussions with target management through observations to insights and conclusions.
* Condu ct detailed data analysis to support transaction advisory services such as vendor and buyer financial due diligence, exit-readiness, and financial reporting misstatements.
* Collaborate with senior team members to develop data-driven insights and recommendations for clients.
* Utilize advanced data analytics tools and techniques to analyze large datasets and identify key trends and patterns.
* Prepare comprehensive investigative analyses, assist in the construction of deal-oriented reports and presentations using data visualization tools to communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
* Assist in the development and implementation of data analytics strategies to enhance the effectiveness of transaction advisory services.
* Participate in meetings and conference calls with target company management and client personnel.
Qualifications
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* 2:1 or higher undergraduate degree, ideally in STEM, Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related field.
* A-level ABB (or equivalent).
* Business level English is a prerequisite; any other European languages are desirable.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and financial modeling.
* Proficiency in ETL and data analytics tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Python, R, or similar.
* Experience in a data visualization tool such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar is a plus.
* Prior experience in transaction advisory services or a related field is a plus.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
