We are looking for a talented IT Applications Analyst Senior to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Daventry Plant in Daventry, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
1. Optimize Application Utilization: Analyze and evaluate application functionality, recommending ways to increase the use of standard features to enhance business processes and capabilities.
2. Tailor Application Configuration: Determine and document the best application setup to meet functional requirements, ensuring the system is tailored to organizational needs.
3. Stay Ahead of Trends: Develop expertise in emerging application trends and provide functional recommendations to keep the organization at the forefront of technology.
4. Address Functionality Gaps: Identify and recommend solutions to address gaps in application functionality, ensuring seamless operations.
5. Vendor Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to improve application functionality and resolve issues efficiently.
6. Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with process owners, business analysts, systems analysts, and architects to gather and review requirements, defining functional designs aligned with business goals.
7. Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a go-to expert on application content, processes, and functionality, providing insights and support for projects and ongoing maintenance.
8. Create Functional Specifications: Develop and manage detailed functional specifications to guide development and configuration of programs and applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
1. Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage large-scale IT projects using Waterfall and Agile methodologies, ensuring high-quality, supportable IT solutions.
2. Business Process Understanding: Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing processes to align IT solutions with business needs.
3. Effective Communication and Collaboration: Ability to elicit and understand requirements, design IT solutions, and partner with central IT teams for operational excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of relevant work experience at an intermediate level.
