KS2 Teaching Assistant – Sheffield & Barnsley Location: Sheffield and Barnsley Contract: Full-time / Part-time (term-time only) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Start Date: ASAP or January start available We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistants to join our friendly and supportive primary schools across Sheffield and Barnsley. This is an exciting opportunity to help inspire and support pupils in Years 3–6, contributing to a positive, nurturing, and high-achieving learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide classroom support to the class teacher across KS2. Work with small groups and individual pupils to support learning and progress. Assist with lesson preparation, resources, and classroom organisation. Support children with varying abilities, including those with additional needs. Promote positive behaviour and help maintain an inclusive, engaging learning environment. Contribute to the wider school community and uphold safeguarding policies. About You Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (KS2 experience desirable). A warm, patient, and positive approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative. A commitment to helping children achieve their full potential.
