We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Performing Arts Teacher to join our team of exceptional educators. Could that be you?
This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled and enthusiastic Teacher with a passion for their subject, and a commitment to ensure that every pupil flourishes in the highly successful department. The post holder will teach Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level students.
About the Role and You
Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in drama, film studies aligned with the curriculum. Develop students’ creative, performance and technical skills through practical and theoretical teaching. Direct and support students in school productions, concerts and other performances. Encourage creativity, self-expression, teamwork and confidence in all learners. Assess, record, and report on students’ progress in line with school policies. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students. Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment. Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the performing arts curriculum and extracurricular opportunities. Stay up to date with current trends and practices in performing arts education.
Requirements:
Degree in Performing Arts, (Drama/Film Studies),or a related field (PGCE/QTS desirable if in a school setting). Strong subject knowledge and practical experience in Drama to A level standard and Film studies to A level standard. Experience teaching or directing young people in performing arts. Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills. Ability to inspire, motivate, and support students of varying abilities. Commitment to promoting creativity, cultural appreciation, and the performing arts within the school community.
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Dependent on experience
