The Silverbirch Hotel is a family-run 3* hotel located just outside Omagh, renowned for its superb cuisine and warm welcome. Set in modern and lavish surroundings, the hotel offers 64 impeccably furnished bedrooms ideal for both business and pleasure, each featuring full en-suite facilities and complimentary wifi. The Barreta Bar & Grill, with its wide selection of hot and cold dishes, provides a stylish dining experience. Our hotel is an ideal base for exploring local sights and attractions, including the Sperrins and Ulster American Folk Park.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Chef based in Omagh. The Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, creating innovative menus, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met, and managing kitchen staff. Daily tasks include planning menus, ordering ingredients, and maintaining inventory. The Chef will also collaborate with other staff to ensure a seamless and exceptional dining experience for guests.
Qualifications
* Culinary skills, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
* Experience in managing kitchen operations and staff
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* A passion for creating high-quality and innovative dishes
* Formal culinary training or relevant experience in a similar role
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
