Recruitment Advisor

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Recruitment Advisor to join our busy Resourcing Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organizational skills, recruitment experience and a passion for providing a high-quality service to colleagues across the Trust.

In Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH), we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding care – and this starts with recruiting excellent people. In this role, you will help shape our recruitment service and ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for candidates and hiring managers across the Trust.

We have three posts available – one is a permanent contract and the other two are secondments with August 2026 and December 2026 end dates, respectively.


Main duties of the job

To provide an efficient, customer-focused front-of-house and administrative recruitment service for Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Support the delivery of safe, timely and values-led recruitment by ensuring high-quality administration, excellent customer service to candidates and staff, and full compliance with pre-employment standards.

Job responsibilities

Due to Home Office immigration rules, a full-time permanent vacancy cannot be filled by individuals on a Student visa. Therefore, if you are a Student visa holder, we will not be able to offer you a full-time permanent contract unless you have:

* Applied for a Graduate visa
* Successfully completed your course and have applied for a Graduate visa before the anticipated start date of your employment
* Or the Trust has agreed to sponsor you as a Skilled Worker and you will complete your studies within 3 months of the anticipated start date of employment

The vacancy will close at midnight on 26 May 2026. Interviews are scheduled for 5 June 2026, although this may change.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Educated to A level or NVQ level 3 in Customer Service / Business Administration / ITQ or equivalent
* Secretary qualification or equivalent


Experience

* Experience working in a busy clerical/office environment or reception service
* Secretarial and/or administrative experience including minute taking
* Prioritising, planning and organising own tasks
* Working within guidelines
* Experience dealing with difficult situations and confrontations
* Data entry experience and documentation
* Experience with IT packages – Microsoft Office
* Experience producing documents to a high standard
* Previous experience working in NHS
* Recruitment and selection of staff
* Experience supervising staff


Knowledge

* Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
* Sound knowledge of office procedures
* Understanding of customer service
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
* Knowledge of the Trust, including awareness of priorities
* Knowledge of Trust information systems
* Awareness of NHS targets and Trust priorities


Skills

* Ability to work as part of a team
* Excellent communication skills – telephone, email, face to face
* Ability to develop templates for letters
* Ability to organise and manage own time, keeping to schedule and deadlines
* Ability to allocate and monitor work of others
* Ability to use own initiative and work autonomously
