The Events Manager will be reponsible for developing and managing a schedule of events within our retail business to drive footfall into the business. You will ensure the scheduling, content, promotions and operations are within budget and meet the necessary timelines. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that has previous events management experience; to include organising the annual grotto, summer cinema, children's activities and gardening and food workshops. This is a full time role and will require a 52 week plan. Key tasks Events: Managing all aspects of our various onsite events, including but not exclusively - pre-sale promotions, sale, operations and follow up Liaising with guest presenters, suppliers & speakers, charity partners, and internal key contacts Arrange ticketing, website content, and marketing; liaising with relevant colleagues or third parties Plan and liaise with external partners for design & graphics for internal & external advertising Oversee running of events including set up & breakdown, appropriate staffing, materials, suppliers & partners Producing of live content, videos & promotions suitable for company and social media use Negotiating contracts and costs with third parties Continually working on multiple campaigns and events Measuring and reporting the success of events with follow up Liaise with charity partners for support and events Drive the loyalty scheme; including loyalty offering, promotions and communication Management: Recruiting appropriate staff for your requirements Maintaining adequate staff cover and approving holiday accordingly Monitoring and appraising the performance of your team members Other: The smooth running of the department with diligence, discipline and trust Empowering and developing yourself and your team to their full potential with encouragement and training Keeping colleagues, managers, buyers & directors informed Attending relevant management and site meetings Supporting other areas of the business when required
