Customer & Technical Support Lead

Location: Leafbridge HQ, Lincoln (office-based with occasional field work)

Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 per annum (DOE)

Benefits: Company van, pension, 25 days holiday + bank holidays

Role Summary

Remote diagnostics are a key part of this role. As a Customer & Technical Support Lead, you will act as the bridge between our office team, our engineers, and our customers. You will use your technical background (Gas Safe or Oil) to support colleagues, ensure compliance, and help resolve issues quickly — all with the goal of improving customer service and business efficiency.

This is an office-based position with some flexibility to attend customer sites or support engineers in the field when required. It's ideal for an engineer looking to step away from full-time tools-based work while keeping their technical skills at the heart of what they do.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out remote diagnostics to support customers and engineers.
* Act as the main technical support point for the office team.
* Ensure compliance evidence is collected (photos, commissioning sheets, service records).
* Support with audits, post-completion checks, and occasional site surveys.
* Liaise between office staff and field engineers to improve communication and workflow.
* Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
* Provide technical input to improve customer service delivery.

What We're Looking For

* Background in Gas Safe or Oil (essential).
* Previous experience as a field engineer or in a technical support role.
* Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, plus ability to learn other systems).
* Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical matters clearly.
* Organised, detail-focused, and proactive problem solver.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Knowledge of renewable heating systems or compliance standards (MCS, OFTEC, Gas Safe) desirable.
