Croydon Council is the lead borough (the Accountable Body) for the Insurance London Consortium (ILC). The ILC is a consortium of 9 London boroughs working together on running insurance and related arrangements and working to improve the management of risk across London.
This post, which will be a key member of the insurance team in Croydon, will be responsible for claims handling and management, insurance arrangements and lastly loss control initiatives to be implemented in Croydon.
The successful candidate will be experienced with a claims handling/ insurance/risk management background and will also lead on service developments which will improve exposure to risk in the borough. The successful candidate will have a 'hands on approach' to claims handling and management but also have strong client side skills in relation to outsourced providers, such as lawyers and loss adjusters.
