The Role
We are looking for a Procurement Analyst to join our growing European team, ideally based at our Heywood office. This role has a European reach and covers all procurement across the region. You will report directly to the Senior Procurement Manager and work as part of a European team. The position supports learning and development, offers flexible working (home one or two days per week), and full training and support.
Responsibilities
* Managing day‑to‑day procurement queries and supporting Managers across the business with any issues
* Prepare, submit, evaluate, and manage the RFP process
* Work with suppliers, support them with queries and help to on‑board new suppliers
* Negotiate and administer new or expiring supplier agreements and contracts
* Source vendors of equipment and supplies and assess them to determine strategic alignment, product/service availability, and terms of sale
* Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment and process invoices
* Analyze historic spend data to identify new ways to reduce costs and improve quality
* Work in Smart Sheets
* Set up catalogues in the system using Workday strategic sourcing
* Work with the business to understand what they need from suppliers
Qualifications
* Previous experience in procurement or a similar role is beneficial; recent graduates or early‑career professionals are also welcome
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Experience with Workday Strategic Sourcing or other procurement systems is advantageous
* Ability to manage and analyze data
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly
* Fluent in English
* Natural curiosity, enthusiasm, and commitment for continuous learning
* Sound judgment and decision‑making, considering relative costs and benefits to choose the most appropriate action
* Commitment to providing outstanding customer service to field and functional partners
* Strong understanding of the procurement process and a desire to grow a career in procurement
* Comfortable with new technology, with experience in Smart Sheets or Google Docs
* Data‑driven mindset using business analytics to optimise sourcing activities continually
* Service‑mindful, enjoys working on changing priorities, and can manage multiple sites while building strong relationships
* Collaborates effectively with a broad range of stakeholders in a global environment
