Contract Manager – Decarbonisation Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (DOE) benefits Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time Fortus Recruitment is proud to be partnered with a forward-thinking contractor specialising in retrofit and decarbonisation projects within the social housing sector. We’re seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee the delivery of energy efficiency and carbon reduction programmes across Leeds and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the net-zero transition while managing large-scale retrofit and decarbonisation schemes (EPC, PAS 2035, SHDF, etc.). Key Responsibilities: Manage the delivery of retrofit and decarbonisation projects, ensuring compliance with PAS 2035, SHDF, and funding requirements Oversee project planning, budget control, procurement, and programme delivery Lead site teams and subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification Ensure excellent resident communication and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to monitor progress and report on KPIs Manage quality assurance and handover procedures Identify and manage project risks, proactively resolving issues ✅ Requirements: Proven experience as a Contract Manager (or Project Manager) within retrofit, energy efficiency, or housing refurbishment Strong knowledge of PAS 2035, SHDF, and low-carbon retrofit works (EWI, IWI, ASHPs, solar PV, loft/cavity insulation) Excellent leadership and communication skills SMSTS, CSCS, and ideally Retrofit Coordinator/Assessor/Installer experience or knowledge Commercially astute with excellent client-facing abilities Full UK driving licence (required) Fortus Recruitment Group Limited acts as an Employment Business for the supply of temporary workers and an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
