Classroom Support Assistant (Adhoc / Flexible) – Northumberland

Milk Education is looking for enthusiastic Classroom Support Assistants to work in various primary schools across the Northumberland area on a flexible, day-to-day or weekly basis starting after Christmas

Do you have experience supporting young people through sports coaching, childcare, performing arts, or youth work or are you a graduate looking to gain classroom experience?

You do not need a formal TA qualification but you must have relevant experience working or volunteering with children in the last two years or be eager to build your experience in a classroom setting

Key Responsibilities

1. Support pupils in class under the guidance of the class teacher

2. Help deliver engaging lessons and activities

3. Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils build confidence

4. Assist with classroom setup and provide general support across the school day

5. Respond to morning calls for ad hoc cover when schools need extra support

Requirements

6. Experience working with children for example coaching, mentoring, youth work, Camp America or a strong interest in gaining classroom experience

7. Passion for helping children reach their potential

8. Flexibility to work across multiple schools in the Northumberland area
