Key Responsibilities Wholly accountable for the quality of Civil/ Structural engineering output, and on-time delivery in accordance with project requirements. Ensure all Civil/ Structural designs are code compliant, meet specification, safe in design, and consider lifecycle requirements. Support Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Bids with information and guidance. Work closely with other Department Heads in the business to ensure synergy. Promote Civil/ Structural/ equipment standardisation and re-use. Line management responsibilities and duties across multiple sites; responsible for departmental performance and setting objectives to meet business and individual goals. Development of Civil/ Structural engineering tools and processes that ensure designs are robust and outputs in line with scope. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Minimum Requirements: BEng (Hons) in Engineering (preferably Civil or Structural) Chartered Engineer (CEng, preferably ICE or IStructE) Strong experience in a Civil/ Structural engineering field. Knowledge of the construction & process industries and applicable standards. Ability to use structural analytical software unaided (STAAD Pro or TEKLA Structures preferred). Ability to interpret Site Investigation reports and identify civil implications.
